Babies Drop-In & Play - Non SeparatingEarly Childhood Family Education (ECFE)Please join us on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:30 p.m. for a free baby class. This class includes activities, songs, rhymes, movement, and a caregiver discussion with a Parent Educator. This is an opportunity for free weekly baby weight checks, to connect with other new parents, ask questions, or talk about concerns, gain professional advice, laugh, cry, and talk about life with your new baby. Classes are led by a licensed parent and family educator along with guest speakers, from WIC, public health, lactation, pediatrics, early intervention, and mental health. Spend time with your little one exploring the fun activities together, and meet others with children the same age. This class is for families and their baby; please do not bring siblings. This is a drop-in class. No registration required, but it does help us be more prepared. And, best of all, it’s FREE!2026-2027 School Year -
Lil Zephs - SeparatingEarly Childhood Family Education (ECFE)In Lil Zephs, you and your child will participate in developmentally appropriate activities in an engaging and welcoming environment. In this class, we celebrate developmental milestones such as self regulation, independence, motor development, communication, and language development. This is a separating class where parents will spend time with a licensed parent educator. Mahtomedi Mini's - SeparatingEarly Childhood Family Education (ECFE)Caregiver-child activities are planned for the toddler's developmental task of exploring the world. Caregiver discussion topics might include toddler frustrations, striving for independence, reading to your child and sleep issues. In this ECFE a gradual caregiver-child separation will occur. Caregivers will spend time having a discussion led by a license parent educator. There are many milestones that happen for children ages 12-23 months. Students will engage in learning through age appropriate activities, including songs, movement, and stories for the range of ages in this class. In this class, you will be able to connect, play, and share experiences. Preschool Transportation FeesEarly ChildhoodTransportation Transportation to and from preschool is the parent's responsibility. Fee-based transportation is available for 4-5 year-olds who live on existing transportation routes and are registered for Full Day Preschool classes that meet 9:05 AM-3:35 PM. Parent/guardian must be at the bus stop to put the child on the bus at the beginning of the day and get them off at the end of the day. Early Childhood staff greet the children on their bus when it arrives at Wildwood, and walk them out, and put them on the bus at the end of each day. The following transportation forms will need to be completed and brought to the Early Childhood Office. These forms can be found HERE. Preschool Transportation Registration Form and Transportation Emergency Health Information Card FORMS and PAYMENT must be submitted to the Early Childhood Office at Wildwood School by July 1. Checks can made out to Mahtomedi School District or electronic payment online. *If your child qualifies for Free/Reduced lunch, the transportation will be provided at no cost if on an existing bus route. **Postcards with bus route information will be mailed to your home when routes are set in late August.2026-2027 School Year -

Young Explorers - Drop OffEarly Childhood Family Education (ECFE)Little Explorers is an opportunity for children to become more confident and comfortable in a classroom setting. Children come to class without their caregiver and spend time with a licensed early education teacher. They practice skills such as sharing, problem solving, and learning through play. Classroom activities focus on school readiness skills. **Families must be enrolled in an ECFE Parent/Child Class to participate in this class. Students do not need to be fully toilet trained, but parents will be called to support diapering.2026-2027 School Year
