Soccer - High School Girls On-Field TrainingSoccer* updated camp days & times (5/19). Each 90 minute session will include a dynamic warm up, strength and power training, along with speed development exercises. Individual skill work will take place daily followed by team oriented tactical work. Each session will end with various small sided games and competitive environments. These training sessions are designed with the goal to sharpen individual skills, allow Mahtomedi players a chance to create chemistry with future teammates, and to get stronger and faster in the process. This is a very hands-on class where you get to go through all the initial steps of mixing the dough, discuss the whole process of how to make a loaf of bread, feed your new sourdough starter and learn how to maintain it, and get every question answered! Materials and ingredients are provided: a bowl, a jar with sourdough starter, a dough whisk, a spatula, flour, water, salt, a handout with access to a very informative guide that will help you throughout your sourdough journey, and you also get to taste some fresh bread and sourdough cookies throughout class! (all materials are YOURS to bring home). You have the choice to bring your own food scale or we will provide one for you to keep for an additional $15 fee. Summer - Middle School Beginner Band (entering grade 6)Summer BandWelcome to Summer Band! All 5th graders who registered for 6th grade Band at Mahtomedi Middle School (2026-27) are strongly encouraged to take part in this summer opportunity. This camp is also for any students 7th or 8th grade who are starting an instrument for the first time. Students will be learning the beginning basics of their instrument and will be working with a professional musician and teacher on their instrument in instrument-specific sessions. These sessions will be used to prepare your student for playing on their first day of band class. Skills they will learn include, but are not limited to: instrument assembly, proper posture/hand placement, embouchure formation, breath support, warm-up skills, reading notes/rhythms, and instrument care. Summer PALS - PreschoolSummer Preschool PALS is open to currently enrolled, 2025-2026, full day preschool students. This new program provides incoming kindergarteners a fun, enriching experience where they will continue to build on the skills they have learned during their preschool year. Students will attend one or two off site field trips a week. Caregivers must provide a cold lunch and snacks for their student. Summer Preschool PALS follows the same guidelines and expectations listed in the 2025-26 Mahtomedi Public Schools Student and Family Handbook This program is only open to current 2025-2026, full day Mahtomedi Area Preschool students. Caregivers are required to transport students to and from childcare each day. There is no busing in the summer. Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis. Tally’s Dockside Bobber Style Fishing Camps (completed grades 1-5)MORE Sports & RecreationExperience the fun and relaxation of bobber-style “catch and release” fishing on beautiful White Bear Lake! Participants will spend six hours fishing from a comfortable pontoon boat, visiting several fishing spots around the lake. Each pontoon is fully upholstered, features a half canopy for shade, and comes equipped with a driver/fishing guide, live bait, and life vests. Anglers may bring their own fishing poles, tackle, and life vests, or use equipment provided by the guide. Please dress for changing Minnesota weather and apply sunscreen before arriving. Excursions will be held rain or shine; make-up sessions for severe weather cancellations are generally scheduled on Thursdays. Instructors use age-appropriate equipment to allow all players to begin playing immediately. Lessons maintain a less than 5 student to coach ratio. Racquets available for all levels. A certified tennis coach will organize and direct staff who will lead small group lessons and will be divided by skill level. Lead Instructor is certified with LifeTime/WBL. If needed, rain makeups will take place on Friday during your session. Bad Weather Cancellations: If Mahtomedi Community Education activities will be canceled due to weather, credits or refunds will NOT be given.
